Specialized Psychological Care for Migrant Families
Overcoming Barriers and Building Bridges
Throughout my life, I have always been fascinated by different cultures. Even as a child, frequent changes to different cities and neighborhoods broadened my interpersonal experience and taught me, from an early age, the importance of adaptation and acceptance in times of transition.
Later, as an adult, I lived with my family for a few years in Switzerland, facing the challenges and discoveries of being an immigrant. This experience deepened my interest in intercultural psychology, leading me to specialize in working with families experiencing the impact of migration.
Migrating as a family is a unique experience, full of emotional and cultural challenges that can affect each member in different ways. Family dynamics change: children deal with school adaptation, parents face role reorganization, and relationships can be impacted by homesickness, anxiety or communication difficulties.
Furthermore, migrating individually or as a couple also requires overcoming cultural and practical barriers. My personal and professional experience enables me to embrace the unique experiences of each client and offer strategies to make transitions easier and more functional.
I assist immigrants, emigrants, expatriates and their families in individual sessions, for couples or involving the entire family nucleus. The goal is to create a safe space for dialogue, strengthen bonds and transform the challenges of migration into opportunities for growth.
