Living between cultures can profoundly transform how you see yourself. How it relates to and feels its place in the world.

Whether by choice, opportunity, or necessity, changing countries, cultures, routines, or phases of life brings new possibilities, but it can also awaken insecurities, doubts about identity, loneliness, and the feeling of not fully belonging.

It's natural for this process to affect your emotions, relationships, and how you perceive yourself.

You don't have to go through this journey alone.

Here you will find a welcoming, safe, and science-based space to understand your emotions, strengthen your inner balance, and rebuild your life, your sense of belonging, and your connection with yourself, wherever you are.

About Me

My intercultural journey began long before I imagined it would also become part of my professional career.

I am originally from Brasília and, at the age of eight, I experienced my first major change when I moved to the state of São Paulo. It was there that I had my first experiences with what I now recognize as cultural adaptation: a new accent, different customs, and the need to learn, even as a child, how to feel like I belonged in an unfamiliar environment.

Later, as an adult, I moved back to São Paulo to pursue my education and professional career in Psychology, while also working in human development and people management for international companies.

Years later, life led me to have deeper intercultural experiences. I initially lived in Ireland, a period marked by autonomy, discovery, and the challenge of rebuilding my routine alone in a new country.

Later, I lived in Switzerland, this time at a different point in my life, with the responsibility of adapting not only myself but also an entire family dynamic. This meant closely monitoring delicate processes, such as children adapting to a new school, a new language, different customs, and even changes in diet and daily routine—all while needing to emotionally support the adaptation process of everyone around me, as I rebuilt my own life in various areas: career, social connections, identity, and belonging.

These experiences have profoundly transformed my perspective as a psychologist.

Today, I integrate over two decades of clinical experience with a genuine and sensitive understanding of the changes that occur when we live between cultures. I am a professional who deeply understands the intercultural experience because I have lived it myself.

Living between cultures taught me that belonging is not a place but a process. With time and support, it becomes possible to reconnect with yourself and feel at home again.

My job is to offer a welcoming, science-based, and deeply human space to support people going through processes of transition, adaptation, and identity reconstruction, wherever they may be.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a safe and welcoming space for you to understand your emotions, organize your thoughts, and rebuild your inner balance amidst life's changes.

When we live between cultures or go through transitional phases, it's common to feel that everything becomes confusing: decisions become more difficult, the mind becomes overwhelmed, and the feeling of loss of control can grow.

My job is to help you bring clarity to this process.

I use a practical and structured approach, focused on the present and on real-life situations in your daily life. Together, we identify patterns of thought, emotions, and behaviors that may be causing distress or hindering your adaptation, and we build concrete strategies to deal with them in a healthier way.

This process isn't limited to talking about feelings; it also involves developing tools that help you to:

• Organize your mind and reduce emotional overload.

Emotional Self-Regulation Strategies
• Make decisions with more confidence.
• coping better with anxiety and uncertainty
• Strengthen their autonomy and sense of control
• Rebuilding your identity in new contexts
• to reclaim the feeling of belonging, wherever you are.

The services are provided online, allowing you to access psychological care regardless of the country you live in.

The Stories Between Cultures group is a therapeutic group created especially for Brazilian women living abroad who face the emotional challenges of living between cultures.

Often, in addition to the practical changes of daily life, profound cultural differences also arise in the way people communicate, relate to each other, show affection, and even in how they deal with time, proximity, and emotions.

For those who come from a Brazilian culture marked by warm bonds and the valuing of human contact, these differences can generate a silent feeling of estrangement, loneliness, and difficulty belonging.

Unlike traditional group therapy, which tends to focus more on spontaneous dynamics among participants, this program follows an organized structure with themes, objectives, and content specifically designed for the emotional needs of those living between cultures.

The meetings offer a safe environment to share experiences, hear similar stories, and realize something fundamental: you are not alone in what you feel.

When listening to others going through similar situations, it's common to experience an immediate sense of identification and relief, as well as an understanding that many difficulties are not personal weaknesses, but natural responses to the changes and challenges of the intercultural context.

Participating in the group also benefits:

• the opportunity to meet people who have similar experiences
• reducing feelings of isolation
• increased sense of belonging
• the normalization of emotions experienced in cultural adaptation
• the exchange of practical strategies among participants
• Emotional strengthening through collective support

GROUP THERAPY

The Stories Across Cultures group is a therapeutic group designed for women living outside their country of origin who are navigating the emotional challenges of living between cultures.

Beyond the practical changes of daily life, cultural differences often emerge in deeper ways in how people communicate, report to one another, express affection, and even in how they experience time, personal space, and emotions.

These differences can create a subtle sense of disconnection, loneliness, and difficulty feeling a true sense of belonging.

Unlike traditional group therapy, which often focuses on spontaneous group dynamics, this program follows a structured approach, with themes, goals, and content specifically designed to support the emotional needs of those living between cultures.

The sessions provide a safe space to share experiences, hear similar stories, and accomplish something essential: you are not alone in what you feel.

Listening to others going through similar situations often brings an immediate sense of connection and relief, along with the understanding that many of these challenges are not personal weaknesses, but natural responses to the complexities of living in a different cultural context.

How do the meetings work?

The meetings are scheduled and structured, developed based on knowledge of psychology and approaches recognized by science.
The content and reflections focus on common issues faced by those living outside their country of origin, such as:

• Cultural adaptation and identity reconstruction
• longing, loneliness and belonging
• changes in family and social relationships
• Rebuilding routine and career
• Emotional regulation during times of transition
• grieving from a distance for the people, places, and phases left behind

Each meeting combines moments of reflection, sharing, and the development of practical tools that help to deal with the challenges of daily life in a clearer and more balanced way.
